The real problem: they're letting a stranger into their home

People look for a plumber because there's water on the floor, the drain won't clear or the hot water just quit. They decide fast, but they're also nervous: they're about to let someone they've never met into their house, and they have no idea what the bill will look like.

So a plumbing ad isn't just competing with other plumbers. It's competing with that hesitation. The ad that wins answers the questions people have before they call: who shows up, how you price the job, where you work and what happens if the problem turns out bigger than it looked. Motion graphics lays that out with clean icons and on screen text, no job site footage or customer homes required.

Match the ad to the service

Practical tips for plumbing ads

Be upfront about pricing. If you do flat rate pricing or charge a diagnostic fee, say so plainly. If the price depends on what the tech finds, the video explains that instead of hiding it.

Show who's coming. Uniforms, a branded truck and your license, only what's actually true, but right at the start.

Play the seasons. Before the first freeze, a video on keeping pipes from bursting; before winter, a water heater checkup.

Think about insurance. A lot of leaks turn into water damage claims. If you work with insurers, say so without promising the policy will pay. For the other side of that market, we have a page on video ads for insurance agents.

Ad rules: pricing, licensing and financing

No bait pricing. The FTC's Guides Against Bait Advertising describe bait as an alluring but insincere offer to sell something the advertiser doesn't actually intend to sell, and they list tactics like disparaging the advertised offer to push something else. A "$49 drain cleaning" is fine if you really do the job at that price with the conditions stated. It's not fine if it only exists to get a tech in the door to upsell.

"Licensed and insured" only if it's true. Some states require your license number in plumbing advertising; Texas and Maryland, for example, spell this out in their rules. Check what applies in your state and send us the exact number. Same goes for "24/7 service": only if someone really answers at 2 a.m.

Meta and financing. If the ad promotes financing for a water heater or a repipe and runs in the US, it belongs in the Financial Products and Services Special Ad Category, which Meta made mandatory in early 2025. As of this writing, that limits age, gender and ZIP code targeting, requires a minimum location radius and rules out lookalike audiences. Meta's Advertising Standards also reject deceptive ads. Our guide to Facebook video ads covers the basics.

Google Local Services Ads are a separate channel with their own screening process; these videos are built for social.

Formats and language

Every video is 9:16 for Reels, Stories and TikTok, delivered as an MP4 ready for Ads Manager. Each video can be in English or Spanish. On the trial you can add 1:1 and 4:5 versions for $19, a revision round for $29 per video and 3 static ads for $47.

What we need from you

A short brief at checkout: the service for each video (emergency, drains, water heaters, repiping, water treatment or maintenance plans), the cities you cover, your real hours, how you price, your offer word for word, your license number if it needs to appear, any financing disclosures, your phone number or link, colors and logo. Add a reference ad you like. We don't need access to your ad account and there are no calls. Ready? Start with the 3 video trial.

FAQ

How much do video ads for a plumbing company cost?

You can try 3 ads for a one-time $97, once per business. For fresh videos every month, plans go from $297 for 10 videos to $797 for 40 (white label included), and the Agency plan is 100 videos for $1,797.

Do I need to film my crew or my jobs?

No. These are motion graphics: animation, text, icons and music.

Can you include my license number and say I'm insured?

Yes, exactly as you send it in writing. We don't add licenses, certifications or "24/7 service" on our own, and checking what your state requires is on you.

Do these work if I advertise financing for water heaters or repiping?

Yes. Since Meta's Financial Products and Services category limits targeting, we write each video to state what you offer and where up front, with your disclosures exactly as provided.

Do you run the campaign or guarantee calls?

No. We deliver ready to upload videos and we don't promise a number of calls or jobs. You or your agency run the campaign.

How fast do I get the videos?

Within 24 business hours of payment. If we're late, you get a free extra video, and if a video doesn't match the brief, we redo it.
