Video ads for solar companies that earn trust before the quote
We make motion graphics video ads for residential solar installers, battery storage companies and commercial solar developers. Script, animation and music in vertical format for Meta and TikTok, built to get homeowners and business owners to book a consultation without feeling sold to. Pay online, tell us your offer and get your videos in 24 business hours. Start with 3 ads for $97.
The real problem: homeowners are skeptical before you say a word
Solar is a big, technical purchase, and it's usually a household or partnership decision. Your audience has also scrolled past years of "free solar" and "new government program" ads. By the time your ad shows up, their guard is already up.
So the ad that wins isn't the one with the loudest promise. It's the one that explains things best: how a roof gets assessed, what an inverter does, what a battery actually covers in an outage, or how buying, financing, leasing and a PPA differ. Motion graphics turns that into clean diagrams, with no customer roof photos and no crew on camera.
Match the ad to what you sell
- Residential solar: the process from site survey to permission to operate, laid out step by step so the unknown feels manageable.
- Battery storage and backup: what a battery can keep running during an outage, shown with simple icons and no exaggeration.
- Commercial and industrial: warehouses, retail, farms and multifamily owners, with a straightforward message about energy as a fixed operating cost.
- Ways to pay: cash, loan, lease or PPA, each in its own video with your real terms.
If you also do roofing, electrical or HVAC, see our page on video ads for home service businesses.
How to get consultations without overpromising
Say what happens after the click: "we'll schedule a site visit" or "send us a recent utility bill and we'll put together a proposal." Spelling out the next step screens out the curious and reassures the people who are serious.
Name your service area in the first seconds of the video so you're not paying for clicks you can't serve. Instead of promising savings, show what goes into a proposal: usage history, roof orientation and the local utility rate.
Keep several versions in rotation. Solar campaigns often hit the same neighborhoods again and again, and one ad wears out fast. Our guide to ad creative fatigue shows how to spot it.
Ad rules: tax credits, government claims and financing
The residential tax credit changed. Under the July 2025 law known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, the Section 25D Residential Clean Energy Credit isn't allowed for expenditures made after December 31, 2025, and the IRS treats the expenditure as made when installation is complete. An ad that still tells homeowners they'll get a "30% federal tax credit" can be flat out false. Leased and PPA systems fall under different rules, so check with your tax advisor before your ads mention any incentive.
No "free panels" and no "government program." The FTC warns that going solar isn't free and that companies claiming a government program will cover the whole cost are lying. It also flags lines like "never pay another electric bill." Meta's advertising standards prohibit misleading claims, and an ad that looks like it comes from the government invites a rejection. Lead with your own name, logo and real offer.
Meta and financing. If the ad promotes a loan, financing or credit and runs in the US, it belongs in the Financial Products and Services Special Ad Category. As of this writing, that means no age or gender targeting, no ZIP code targeting, a location radius of at least about 15 miles and no lookalike audiences. The creative has to do the filtering. Our guide to Facebook video ads covers the basics.
TikTok. Its financial services policy requires local licensing, clear disclosures and an 18+ audience, and the details vary by market. If you're only selling the installation, leave credit out of the ad entirely.
Formats and language
Every video is 9:16 for Reels, Stories and TikTok, delivered as an MP4 ready for Ads Manager. Each video can be in English or Spanish. On the trial you can add 1:1 and 4:5 versions for $19, a revision round for $29 per video and 3 static ads for $47.
What we need from you
A short brief at checkout: what each video sells (residential, storage, commercial or service), the cities or states you install in, your offer word for word (for example, a free site assessment, only if that's true), the payment options you offer and their disclosures exactly as they need to appear, any equipment brands you're cleared to show, your link, colors and logo. Add a reference ad you like. We don't need access to your ad account and there are no calls. Ready? Start with the 3 video trial.

FAQ
How much do video ads for a solar company cost?
You can try 3 ads for a one-time $97, once per business. For fresh videos every month, plans go from $297 for 10 videos to $797 for 40, and the Agency plan is 100 videos for $1,797.
Can you mention the federal tax credit or local incentives?
Only what you give us in writing and can back up. The 25D credit for homeowners isn't allowed for installs completed after 2025, so we don't add it by default. Verifying every incentive is on you.
Can you say how much customers will save on their electric bill?
We don't make up savings. If you have a figure you can support, plus its disclosure, we use it exactly as written. By default we make educational ads that invite people to book an assessment.
Do these work if I advertise financing on Meta?
Yes. Since the Financial Products and Services category limits targeting, we write each video to state what you offer, where and for whom up front, without referring to the viewer's personal situation.
Do you run the campaign or guarantee leads?
No. We deliver ready to upload videos and we don't promise a number of appointments or sales. You or your agency run the campaign.
How fast do I get the videos?
Within 24 business hours of payment. If we're late, you get a free extra video, and if a video doesn't match the brief, we redo it.
